' Why don't we take a little piece of summer sky, hang it in a tree For that's the way to start to make a pretty world for you and for me'

Welcome! Blue Tango is Lynne Gough (vocals and percussion) and Dave Richard (vocals and guitar). No other sounds (we like minimalist vulnerability!). Our name comes from the million-selling instrumental hit of 1952. It was a tango in blues form played by a classical orchestra-- a great example of the rich mixture typical of great pop music. So Blue Tango points to our love of jazzy popular music. We see ourselves as part of the current 'retro chic' phenomenon which includes Diana Krall, Harry Connick Jr, Norah Jones, Michael Buble and the huge success of the Rod Stewart Great American Songbook series of CDs.We aim to produce interesting, original guitar/vocal arrangements of classic pop songs. We can perform in small spaces and open spaces ( we have state of the art stand alone equipment as well as the kind that needs a power point).
We've been together for ten years now, during which time we've done weddings, jazz festivals, wineries, restaurants and private functions and loved every minute of it!  We hope you enjoy our site!
